Tweebuffelsmeteenskootmorsdoodgeschietfontein - or Twee Buffels Gesckiet (42), Coligny district, RSA, got its name from a Mr de Nysen. It is said that he killed two buffalo with one shot in1853 on this piece of land.

Buffalo, lions and other game are not found on the farm anymore, maize fields and established pastures took their place... and of course Limousins! Parts of Twee Buffels and Gruisfontein is populated today and farmed by Carl and Marita le Roux with their two sons Derick and Wesbie. It is diversified farming that consists of the planting of maize and sunflowers as well as a SA Mutton Merino commercial herd and then of course the Limousin stud.
